独撰丛书，五种，十七卷。计有《米襄阳外纪》十三卷、 《米襄阳遗集》、《海岳名言》、《宝章待访录》、《研史》各一卷。传主米芾字元章，襄阳人。襄阳，今湖北之襄樊市，因在襄水之阳，故名。襄水亦名疏水，汉水支流。
宋米芾撰，明范明泰编。米芾，米芾平生倜傥不羁，自号襄阳漫士，世称“米襄阳”。明泰字长康，浙江秀水人。万历二十八年(1600)举人，尝贡入太学，考授州守。见《四库全书总目提要》卷六〇。
